Dad hasn't cut the grass in two weeks or so, and it's starting to look bad. The grass itself isn't really that long at all--certainly in no need of immediate cutting. But you know, the dandelions. They start out small and short, popping up all over the yard, but then the blooms die and they grow suddenly taller. They get all fuzzy, the wind blows, and inevitably they spawn thousands of new ghetto flowers everywhere. After that, the nasty, headless remains of the stalks just sort of sit there looking gross. So now our yard is like a forest of recently deceased dandelions. That, in combination with the June bugs, kind of makes me want to stay indoors.
I went to my brother's choir concert the other night, and it was Mr. and Mrs. Galbreath's last concert before retirement. Needless to say, a lot of alumni showed up, including many of which I graduated with four years ago. I thought it might be nice to see some of my old classmates (and for many of them this was the case), but overall, it just kind of reminded me of how much high school sucked complete balls. Man, am I glad that lifestage is over with.
Kroger called this morning, and apparently I haven't been doing drugs lately. So I get to work tomorrow--yay!
