I wish I could tell you how many times I attempt to write something witty and stimulating in my blogger, and FAIL MISERABLY!!
Anyway, it snowed close to a foot today. It maybe even snowed more than that, but I haven't been outside at all since my last class of the day (over at noon). Jim-bo came downstairs into my lair to inform me that it would be "almost impossible to get out of the garage tomorrow," and instructed me to ask him to dig me out once I get stuck. Not "if" I get stuck, but when. Oh, lovelies.
This week has been pretty dreadful. Last Friday I took my first exam of the semester in Pharmacology (and I pwn'd the crap out of it!), and then this Tuesday I had my first Chemo exam. Chemo is unlike any class I've had before--it's like pulling steel needles through my cheeks. I have a crippling fear of that class, and when I had the exam yesterday I was pretty much a nervous wreck. It was like studying for a final exam and doing really terrible anyway. Afterwards, I had a conversation with a classmate that went something like this:
Brian: So how did that go for you?
Me: Let's just say... that I feel sexually violated.
Brian: I have an extra application to Truck Driving School, if you're interested in pursuing other professions.
That just about sums it up. And to make matters worse--to add "insult to injury" as they say--the same professor who gave that Chemo exam is also teaching Med Chem right now, and I have an exam in that class on Friday! OMG! Shoot me now! Between that and the impending feeling of doom I'm experiencing whenever I think about driving to class in this snow, my blood pressure must be through the roof.
I'm feeling better, but my nose is snotting everywhere. Whenever I'm lucky enough to have a tissue on hand to actually use, I'm completely disgusted by the mucus I'm able to produce. GROSS. And my friend Adam had to borrow recorded lectures from someone who sits on the other side of the room during class, because his recorded lectures are drowned out by my ceaseless nose-blowing. *horribly embarrassed*
Luckily, after this Friday exam I'll enjoy an exam-free week! Followed by a week with only one exam in my Easy Class, as I like to call it (because I only have ONE!). So I can de-stress for a little while. Oh! And this weekend Mike's parents are coming up to visit, and they're renting a hotel room so we can all "vacation" in Traverse City! There's like a winter festival or something, with fireworks. I'm so excited! I'm not studying AT ALL. In fact, I'm leaving my damn book bag in the car. *humph!*
Mike: So, for the winter festival, I heard that they break the ice over Crystal Lake and actually swim in it! And then after that they heat everyone up with some Sloppy Joe's. I totally think we should do that!
Me: ..................
Mike: Sweetie?
