Oh man I'm dull

Well, I'm back to the old routine again, and already it feels like I never really left it. Nothing particularly stimulating happened to me this week--just another average five days full of class (only different ones than usual). So far I like them all and I'm understanding everything fine--I think I'll improve a lot this semester. I can't believe that after this one is over I'll already have a year under my belt and 25% of graduate school gone. Holy crap.

Speaking of reaching the end, Mike just started his last semester at WMU! He's a student teacher here in Kalamazoo for eighth grade english students, and he's doing such a good job! I'm so proud! *beams* I can hardly believe that he'll be entering the "real world" in just a few short months. I remember having student teachers in Jr. high and high school all the time, and they always seemed so... so grown-up. It's hard to imagine that he's at that level--I think sometimes we both still feel a little like kids. It's easy to forget how close we are to crossing the fine line from carefree childhood to full-fledged adulthood. Sometimes I can't wait to do it--other times I'm terrified.

dude, i totally agree with you...i really want to grow up and assume this gorgeous ability to be 'responsible' but at other times (aka MOST of the time) I kind of drop responsibility around a bunch and watch in horror as it shatters into a gazillion pieces and makes deafening sounds. *eek* *runs away to get broom*

Oh yeah, that happens to me a lot as well. Only when I do it I always act like it was on purpose. That way if anyone laughs at me I can break their legs. :D
