Visuals

Dr. Ryan's cell phone: *ring ring ring*
Dr. Ryan: "Oops! That must be the President, wanting to know what to do with the Navy."

I'm supposed to be studying right now. *sheepish*

It's SO COLD out. I think it was 8 or something degrees out today, which makes me not want to go anywhere near the outside. I even get pissy walking to my car after class, because I just want to get out of the cold, OMG! Most of the river has frozen over as well. It looks pretty cool, all glossy and glass-looking. :) Jim-bo came down to tell me not to go out on it, because a guy fell through and died a few years ago. THANKS JIM-BUG.

Today in lab we did a warm-up exercise about what kind of learner we are. I'm apparently a visual learner, and this makes perfect sense now! I love to use highlighters, which I guess is a big sign. I even have a very orderly system to it:
  • Yellow: only in class, during lectures, and only when the professor stresses something or it seems to be VERY important
  • Orange: when I study through my notes for the first time to prepare for a test, highlighting topics and important facts
  • Blue or Pink: a day or so before the test, covering anything and everything that I'm still having trouble remembering even after reading my notes several times

I always thought this made me crazy! But I'm a visual learner! I'm normal. :)

*rejoices*
