4.25 Days

Well, it has certainly been a weekend to remember! It started off with seeing Mike a day earlier than expected, and ended with my third snow-day of the semester today! Ferris closed down all day due to icy conditions that made it damn-near impossible to drive. In fact, on Sunday afternoon Mike and I left my house to visit Branden in Big Rapids, with the hope that perhaps by rotating Mike's tires he could get better traction than he has been (Branden is an automotive major). But after not even going a mile, Mike and I ended up in the ditch, and after being pulled out of that, we almost ended up in a second one about three miles later. A drive that normally takes about fifteen minutes took the better part of an hour. After finally getting back to my house safely, Mike decided it would be best to not try and drive all the way back up north for school on Monday.

When today started off with the closing of my school, we decided to take the opportunity to drive down to Grand Rapids and get some snow tires. That ate up most of the day, but it was way better than going to class (and taking the exam I would've had), and I got to spend a whole extra day with my dude. :D

Saturday night was lots of fun too. Mike and I hooked up with our buddies Nick and Colleen, and went to Grand Rapids to have dinner and see a movie with Branden and Beth. We went to the Olive Garden and ended up getting our own private room! *feels special* Afterwards we saw the movie Jumper, which was pretty good. :) I made roast beef Friday night (the only "meal" sort of dish that I can make very well) and Mike and I made our famous pasta salad last night.

Overall, I got to spend 4.25 days with Mike! I can't even remember the last time I got to do that! Tomorrow it's back to school, and now I'm lonely as ever at the Lakehouse, but it was worth it. :D :D

Back to studying.
