Valentine's Day

I had the best Valentine's day ever. It started off with class from nine to four, and was followed by an evening I had thought would be filled with studying my Chemo note cards and reading through my law and ethics notes. Instead, I got a call from Mike around nine o'clock that went something like this:

Mike: It's a beautiful night out, isn't it?
Me: Yeah... I mean I guess so. Are you out on your balcony?
Mike: Huh? No, no. I got my car stuck again.
Me: Oh no! Where at?
Mike: *long pause* Your driveway.

:D I wasn't expecting to see him until Friday, and suddenly he was here! I was so happy! He even took a sick day off school for Friday, to be able to stay the rest of the weekend. I saw the lesson plans he left behind, and realized all the work he put in to being able to be here an extra day. I'm such a lucky girl!!! Honestly, it was the sweetest, sweetest thing ever. I didn't know what to say. :D :D

So we spent about an hour outside, in the freezing cold, digging his Prizm out of snow. And even though it was cold and dark and he was so stuck, I was happy just to be with him. :) We finally got him out with my neighbor Chad's help, and then we were able to go inside and warm up. We exchanged our little V-day gifts, and I got to enjoy the last couple of hours Thursday with him. And when I came home from class on Friday, he was there waiting for me! :D
